About the Role
Responsibilities
The Data Strategist is integral in supporting the success of our Customers and growth of the Company. Specifically, the Data Strategist will focus on developing the business intelligence strategy and build our data pipelines, customer facing data visualizations, and data warehouse.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identify data requirements, including identifying the sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis, automation, and reporting
- Extract, transform, and load data into our data warehouse and create data pipelines, as necessary, to automate data collection and structuring
- Design and build data visualizations that simplify the ability to identify insights and develop a data-driven strategic plan and progress monitoring process.

- Ensuring overall data quality and maintenance of systems, including filtering and cleaning data, conducting internal audits, mitigating risks through a proactive approach on systematic data needs and data protection information
- Support the success of the Customer Success team with data analysis, reports, and training as requested by management on important KPIs and customer health scorecard
- Select, configure, use, and train others on software that improve team operations
Minimum
Qualifications
4+ years of experience as a business or data analyst
2+ years of experience utilizing K-12 education data
Advanced proficiency in Google Data Studio/Looker Studio
Ability to translate data sets into resources and reports targeted at various audiences, synthesizing and crafting data insights, recommendations, narratives, and stories to support a business case
Flexibility, resilience, and strong collaborative skills; able to work independently and be agile in a fast-changing environment
Superior critical thinking, analytical and independent research skills with the keen ability to synthesize both qualitative and quantitative information
Desire to engage in self-development and growth through provided and independently sought out professional and talent development opportunities


Preferred
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- Experience developing code, scripts, batch processes using Javascript, Python, and/or other languages to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Experience using APIs to extract data from applications in JSON, CSV, and other formats
- Experience building data pipelines with Google Cloud services and other applications
- Proficient in Product and Customer Success analytics and KPIs to measure performance
- Google Certified Data Engineer
