Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new engineering staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • Mentor members of the Engineering team.

  • Serves as project manager for multiple projects, creating timelines and cost projections, organizing collaborative meetings, and ensuring projects comply with specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Reviews work and projects for technical accuracy, ensuring code quality and standards using tools and review processes
  • Establishes, implements, and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Cultivate and maintains trust, comfort, camaraderie, and compassion amongst a diverse team of software developers
  • Prepares and executes departmental budget.
  • Maintains knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; applies this knowledge to continually improve the product.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum
Qualifications

B.S. in Computer Science/Computer Engineering
At least 5 years of software development experience
At least 3 years in a senior engineering or solution architect role
At least 3 years in a supervisory role in software development
Proficient in React JS and PHP Laravel frameworks
Experience in developing B2B SaaS products
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Flexibility, resilience, and strong collaborative skills; able to work independently and be agile in a fast-changing environment
Ability and willingness to learn new practices, systems, and processes
Desire to engage in personal and professional growth through provided and independently sought out talent development opportunities
Demonstrates ability to reflect on personal practice and engage in strong emotional intelligence competencies

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement and other best practices in education
