As the Designer for Product, you will partner with managers and teammates across various departments to enable the Product Roadmap. You will assist the Engineering Team in creating intuitive, brand-aligned designs and user experiences for our products. Responsibilities

This position is tasked with overseeing all aspects of UX/UI Design by gathering and analyzing information and data to enhance the user experience and help us create and iterate a premium product that people love.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review user feedback to determine areas that need improvement or to develop new product design to ensure optimum customer experience and satisfaction
  • Identify target user groups to design and perform usability tests on products to understand needs and ensure functionality
  • Use creativity and design thinking to refine the user experience based upon analysis of data
  • Produce high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, graphic designs, story boards, wire frames, mock-ups, and prototypes
  • Provide guidance on the implementation of UX research techniques and testing activities to assess user behavior
  • Design UI elements and Design Systems with reusable UI components
  • Provide training and mentorship to employees, if needed, to build capacity for the growth of the Company
  • Project manage to navigate potential roadblocks and meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with all teams, particularly with Marketing, to support goals and strategic plans and target current and future users
  • Present solutions to the team and relevant C-Suite executives to enhance or grow the Company technology solutions
  • Maintains a competitive edge against competitor products and industry trends
  • Leverages independent learning to stay informed on best practices in the industry and actively applies this to day-to-day practices and strategic planning

Minimum
Qualifications

BS/BA in Visual Design, Psychology, Anthropology, Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering, Marketing, other relevant degrees or equivalent professional certification with a specialization in UX/UI
Additional certifications from reputable resources
Proven experience as a designer with a record of increased positive user feedback
Extensive understanding of HTML/CSS, React JS, Design Systems
Proficient in Figma or equivalent Design applications
Knowledge of current standards and best practices for topography and graphic design
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to understand business metrics and translate company goals and objectives into a digital experiences
Analytical mind with business acumen
Strong ability to adapt and operate independently
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Professional demeanor and appearance
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Preferred
Qualifications

  • Strong portfolio
  • Bachelor’s degree in Visual Design, Information Systems, or Computer Science/Engineering
  • 2-5 years of UX/UI experience
  • Experience leading complex workstreams
  • Experience launching multiple product and features
  • Proficient in SCRUM methodology
  • SaaS Software and Education sector experience
  • 1+ years working at a startup
  • Strong computer skills including Google Workplace Apps
